I want to wish all of the mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day. Today is Tammie's very first and she got the day off right by sleeping in (daddy on the other hand had to entertain the baby and try to keep her quite).
We just got back from Fort Worth after a couple of days celebrating Uncle Billy's graduation from law school (congrats Billy!). Bailey was wonderful. She rode in the car well both going and coming and was a delight at the graduation ceremony (if not just a little fussy) and all of the lunches and dinners we attended (in fact, Billy's in-laws kept commenting at dinner how well behaved she was being...made me feel all warn and fuzzy inside). Bailey also enjoyed the hotel room (as well as mommy and daddy...nice place!), especially the cushy bed that she got to lay and play on.
While we all enjoyed the visit, it is good to be home once again. Max and Rosie were happy to come home as well, but those feelings were soon dashed when Max realized, "Wait, that baby is still here?!" We are now trying to deal with some doggy depression and get Max a little more acquainted and accustomed to the baby.
Everyone have a wonderful rest of the weekend and a great next week. I get to spend the week at home with Bailey (yeah!) and then the grandparents (both Burke and Acuff) get to share the time for the last two weeks until Tammie is out of school. Cross your fingers that Tammie and I will be able to get Bailey back from either sets of grandparents once they have had some "Bailey Time."
