We are down to the final stretch. Less than four weeks to go. The nursery only needs some touch ups on the paint (well, and the door hung back up. But really, does a newborn NEED a door?), we are taking our "Childbirth and Infant Care" class tomorrow, we have the camcorder in, new floors in the nursery, what else could we need?
Oh yeah...MORE TIME!!!
Everything that I've read about newborns is that they don't need much. Diapers, food, a place to sleep and clothes to keep them warm. Done!
But what about the parents? What do they (we) need when this new baby comes? I mean really, I don't know about many of you, but Tammie and I are complete and utter newbies to this. When do we feed her? How often does her diaper need changing? HOW DO YOU CHANGE A DIAPER?! (seriously, I've never changed a diaper before and I'm TERRIFIED about what I'm actually going to encounter during this...I'm a guy, give me a break.) What if she cries. Why is she crying? What do I do to get her to stop? What do I do to get MYSELF to stop?
People, help me here! I really have absolutely NO idea what I'm getting into or what to do about it...
this...is...scary...

For the crying (you and the child) I would suggest bourbon. It doesn't sting as much as whiskey but stops the crying just have fast. I have heard the driving thing works well to quiet a crying child. But don't combine these techniques. I don't think an officer would understand why you and your infant are intoxicated and doing laps around the HEB. I'm kidding of course . . .or am I.
